The Portsmouth School of Ballet offers multiple summer programs to dancers of all ages and experience levels. Each program is thoughtfully developed to offer your dancer the best experience!
Creative Movement Camp
These camps are for children ages 3 – 8 or are currently in Pre-Ballet and Foundation No dance experience is needed! Each camp is uniquely themed. Daily dance classes, games, crafts and more will be offered in addition to yummy snacks! Dancers will have the opportunity to perform at the end of each camp in a mini performance for their family! Camp run Monday-Thursday 9:30am-12:30.

Dance Intensives
Our Intermediate and Advanced Intensives will be offered to all dancers that wish to further their technique and to experience one on one training from some of the best teachers in the field. Guest teachers from across the country and elite companies such as Boston Ballet will be offering their experience and expertise to our dedicated students.
Each intensive will include all styles of dance taught by guest artists and master teachers from around the country in addition to some of PSB’S talented faculty. Classes will run from 9:30am- 2:30pm.
Our two Intermediate Intensives are designed for dancers age 10-12 or Levels 1-3.
The June Advanced Intensive is for dancers ages 12-19 or in Levels 4-7.

Company Boot Camp
In preparation for Turn It Up Nationals in Boston this July, all current company members in Levels IV-VII will need to register for our Nationals Boot Camp. There will be a morning and afternoon schedule released for all dancers to take classes and rehearse company routines.

Company Audition Weeks
Any and all dancers (Ages 8 – 19) are welcome to audition to be a part of PSB’S competitive student company.
Students on the Portsmouth School of Ballet Student Company are chosen through an audition process. The students have the option to audition in Ballet, Pointe, Lyrical, Contemporary, Jazz, Musical Theater, Hip-Hop, and Tap.
The Portsmouth School of Ballet’s award-winning Student Company is for the dedicated dance student who is on a professional track or for dancers who want to experience working as a team to achieve a common goal of unity and purpose; while developing and growing as an individual dancer.
Students perform in our annual Nutcracker, Spring Show, and Prescott Park Summer Performance. We attend various community events, such as, nursing homes and outreach program events.
In addition to the events listed above, our Student Company also attends three elite Regional Dance Competitions and one Nationals that gives them the opportunity to take their dancing to the next level.
The students dance 5 – 20 hours per week depending upon their level. The company has both recreational as well as pre-professional levels. Many of our company students have gone on to dance professionally, teach dance, and attend prestigious academic Colleges and Universities after graduating. We are very proud of our PSB Student Company and are welcome to new company members both younger and older.
For non PSB dancers please audition with your age group. All others please audition with your current level.
